Crispy Tuna Croquettes

Ingredients

Tartar Sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups mayonnaise
  • 2 T sweet relish
  • 1 T dried minced onion
  • 1 tsp Old Bay Seasoning
  • dash garlic powder

  • Croquettes
  • 2 cans albacore tuna
  • package of fish fry seasoned breading (set aside 1/4 of package for coating)
  • 1 egg lightly scrambled
  • 1/4 cup Tartar Sauce (see above)
  • 4 dashes of hot sauce
  • 1 tsp of Old Bay seasoning
  • Oil for frying

    Directions

  • Make the tartar sauce and set aside.
  • Heat oil in pan.
  • Drain the tuna and put in large bowl; fluff with fork.
  • Mix together tuna, breading, egg, tartar sauce and hot sauce and assemble into patties.
  • Coat patties with remainder of breading and put into pan with oil.
  • Cook for 3-4 minutes; flip and cook for additional 3-4 minutes.
  • Set aside to drain.
  • Serve on hamburger buns with Tartar Sauce
  •
